This is Going to be Fun!

Up Your Arts is pleased to announce a brand-new opportunity for local artists to exhibit and sell their art in the heart of Southport. We are calling it The Moore Street Project.

Andrew Laing and Bridget Reichhart, the owners of the Moore Street Market (located at 130 East Moore Street in downtown Southport) have invited Up Your Arts to select and install original artwork in their very cool, eclectic deli and cafe. We will have room to hang lots of original 2-D artwork throughout their intimate dining and meeting areas. A limited amount of space will also be available in which to display and sell 3-D art.

If you are an artist interested in displaying and selling your work, you can join the Moore Street Project here by downloading the terms and conditions governing the project, as well as a form you will need to complete to accompany your submission.

All submissions should be made via email at submissions@upyourarts.org and include high-resolution JPEG’s or similar electronic files of the artwork you wish to have considered for the project.  Any permanent medium, framed or unframed, will be considered for inclusion. (All chosen 2-D art should be ready for hanging via hanging wire or attached mounting clips).

Up Your Arts will select the work of local artists whose original work reflects the colorful, creative, eclectic and bold imagining of the greater Southport community. All selected artwork will be installed by Up Your Arts in a manner which reflects the cool Southport vibe which infuses the Moore Street Market Deli and Cafe. Signage will be located adjacent to each work indicating title, medium, artist name, affiliation and retail price. All artwork will be available for purchase by the general public.

All selected art will also be displayed and offered for sale on the Up Your Arts website. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the local art work will help support the efforts of Up Your Arts to support and enhance the creative and performing arts throughout the greater Southport area.
